Copywriting

Copywriting is any piece of writing that offers a product or service for sale, however that doesn’t mean that the piece of writing has to be written as a hard sell. The majority of my work is copywriting in one form or another: from advertorials to newsletters and brochures, almost everything I write is written to sell something for my client.

I might be directly selling a product such as a real estate development, or a service such as a financial review; or I might be softly selling my client’s brand to a new audience, or I could be selling a client’s expertise in a given area…

Print Media

The tangibility of print media should never be underestimated; i.e. there could be significant value in producing a printed product for your clients, such as a brochure or guide to your services.

It’s a well-researched and documented fact that a reader’s attention span is far greater offline than it is online, where there are too many distractions and readers are likely to only skim read content.

Reading offline is sometimes called deep reading, and this in turn creates deeper thinking in the reader.

Therefore for you and your business this could mean that printed communication material may have a far stronger effect on your client than just an online blog for example, leading to their further engagement with your business.

I regularly produce a wide range of print media for clients. This includes articles for magazines and newspapers, printed guides, brochures and manuals, books and booklets, flyers and show cards.

I often work with Luke, a local graphic designer, and Chris, a local printer in order to deliver a completed brief for my clients: alternatively I’m equally comfortable supplying the copy and written content to a client for their in-house design and printing services.

I have extensive experience in producing all forms of web content because the majority of my work is the production of web content in one form or another: blog posts, social media communication, landing pages, guides, reviews, opinion posts, ebooks, research, interviews etc.

The fastest way for any business to reach their chosen client base nowadays is by having an appropriate web presence. However, simply having a basic website doesn’t get you very far in terms of attracting new business.

Today it’s important for your business to be found via the main search engines, and via social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+ etc.

Even more importantly is that your company effectively communicates with your clients, no matter how and where they find you online.

I work with clients to ensure that their entire online presence is coordinated in terms of the message they deliver.

This can mean going back to basics and overhauling all the content on a website – from the home page down as far as the terms and conditions.

And it most certainly means creating a targeted and creative approach to all forms of social media communication.

I sometimes work closely with Abi, a freelance social media expert, and the results we enjoy have been widely praised by our clients.

In addition I have worked with videographers and graphic designers to create audio visual and visual material for client sites.
